In the case of high-strength reinforcing bar such as SD400, SD500, and SD600 among our manufactured products, we produce reinforcing bar with superior quality by forming a hardened layer through a rapid cooling process on the surface with water cooling (TEMPCORE) reinforcing bar production method. In addition, we are manufacturing products with various specifications and sizes including special reinforcing bar and seismic proof reinforcing bar according to the rising demand for high-strength seismic proof reinforcing bar. (1) Regarding measurements exceeding D 32 in SD400 W and SD500 W, the carbon content shall be set below 0.25 %, and carbon equivalent below 0.55 %. Regarding measurements exceeding D 35 in SD600 S, carbon content shall be set below 0.40 %, and carbon equivalent below 0.70 %. Note (1) Regarding measurements exceeding D 35 in SD400 W and SD700 W, carbon content shall be set below 0.43 %, and carbon equivalent below 0.83 %.
(2) In case an element combined with nitrogen satisfies more than one of the following standards, it’s ok even if the nitrogen content is high. (Total AL : Over 0.020%, V : over 0.020%, Nb : over 0.015%, Ti : over 0.020%)
(3) When conducting product analysis, follow KS D 0228. The tolerance of product analysis is in KS D 0228 Table-1, and component V among these follows Table-3, and carbon equivalent value is increased as much as the tolerance of carbon element. Nitrogen value is increased by 0.004% in Table 2 of KS D 3504.
